This series consists of an typed inventory of property items located on the Mount Pleasant Indian School and Agency. The report is in two sections: Books and Stores and Subsistence. The Book section lists the title of each book in alphabetical order, the quantity on hand and the cost of the books on hand. The stores and subsistence inventory is also listed in alphabetical order by the item name and a quantity with a total cost with a running total at the bottom of each page. Entries listed are for everyday items including clothes, dishes, fasteners, food, scissors, and tools.

Mount Pleasant Indian Industrial Boarding School in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, was established by an act of the United States Congress in 1891. This provided funding for creation of an education system of off-reservation boarding schools and vocational training centers to educate Native American children.
